Toddler Painted Postcards

This is one of my favorite things to do for two reasons. First, it means the world to people to receive personal mail. We are so used to getting our junk mail and normal bills that it has taken the magic out of checking the mail! Second, you get to do a craft with your kid and actually use the finished product! I’m some weird kind of hoarder and can’t get rid of anything, toddler art included.

Step 1: Grab some card stock. Pick out colors that are going to mix well together (and not just make brown). This gets messy.

Step 2: Go to town! Just make sure you cover all of the paper. It looks better when all of the paper is covered - a more finished product if you will.

Step 3: Once the artwork has dried, cut it into postcard size. A standard postcard is about 4” x 6”, but I totally just eyeballed the size of each one! Ya know, make it the size of a postcard!

Step 4: On the blank side, add:

  • a square in the top right for the stamp

  • three lines for the name and address

  • a vertical line down the middle of the card

BOOM. You just created so much joy, from the mailman to recipient!

How fun! <3
