Vanilla Protein Granola (Nut-free)
We have smoothies almost every day in our house. When I am on top of things, I get the kids to eat their veggies by hiding them in yummy smoothies! Lately I’ve been really into topping my smoothies with granola, but having a nut allergy in the house means I usually have to sneak to eat it.
It’s rare to find a tasty granola that is peanut-allergy safe. This new recipe is just that – it really hits the spot! I love topping yogurt and smoothies with it. Plus, the organic vanilla protein helps fuel your body with clean, complete superfoods and organic plant proteins that help support healthy muscles.
Let’s get started.
You’ll need:
1 1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp honey
2 egg whites
1/4 cup avocado oil
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Step 1: Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir until well-combined.
Step 2: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Spread the mixture onto lined cookie sheet.
Step 3: Bake for 15-25 minutes, stirring granola often to prevent burning.
Boom, Thats it. This leveled up our smoothie and yogurt game big time.
