YUM

Let’s just say, any snack that is pink, I’m going to like. LOL SO dumb, but I haven’t been disappointed yet. This CUTE snack is a real crowd pleaser plus super easy to make!

Side note: Muddy Buddies or Puppy Chow (both ridiculous names) is usually made with peanut butter. Q is allergic to peanuts so we trade for chocolate or do sunflower butter. This recipe I use colored chocolate for the fun of Valentines day!

Lets get started.

You’ll need:

-12 oz box of Rice or Corn Chex Cereal (or both)

-Colored Chocolate - Bright Pink and red

-1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Step 1: Put have the cereal in a large mixing bowl

Step 2: In a microwave safe bowl, melt half of the red chocolate on high for 30-45 seconds. Stir and then microwave in 15-20 second intervals stirring after each time until liquid.

Step 3: Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the cereal, mixing gently until the cereal is evenly covered (I use a spatula). Separate any large pieces that are stuck together.

Step 4: Before the chocolate completely sets, transfer your mix to a gallon size bag and add half of your powdered sugar, now get to shakin, but gently, you don’t want to hurt it!

Step 5: Repeat the entire process with the other half of ingredients, using the pink chocolate this time.

Step 6: Mix both colors together in large bowl and gently toss to combine.

Tip: You can always use white chocolate and food coloring if you cannot access the colors you want. IF you do this way, you’ll add the food coloring once the chocolate is completely melted, then whisk quickly. It’s an exciting race since the chocolate hardens pretty quickly!

Holy WOW. Are you impressed? I know I was the first time I made this. Back in the day, (haha the pandemic feels so long that life before is now back in the day) I used to make this and give to everyone I saw the month of February. I’m going to offer our mail carrier a bag, if he is down.  He mentioned missing my Christmas treats. Haha yes I’m that 31 almost 32 year old granny, making sure everyones got a treat <3

Happy Love Season! Enjoy the cutest treat and I dare you to try and not it all in 24 hours. :)

Always and Whatever

XO
