No-Bake Comeback Saltines
These No-Bake Comeback Crackers are the strangest addiction. They got their name because everyone who tries them can’t stop coming back for more! The first time I made these crackers, I wasn’t even sure I liked them. HA, joke’s on me because by the end of the day, I had eaten a whole sleeve of saltines. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love my seasoned crackers, like these Party Crackers and these Dill Crackers.
You’d think that pouring 2 cups of oil over crackers would make them soggy without baking them, but nope! Saltines are so dry that they soak up every drop.
Let’s get started, I’m salivating.
Ingredients:
1 lb. box of saltine crackers
2 ½ cups olive oil (you can use whatever oil you prefer)
2 tbsp of dry ranch seasoning
3 tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
3 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp of crushed red peppers
1 tsp dried dill
An airtight container
Step 1: Place all four sleeves of crackers upright in the container.
Step 2: Mix spices and oil together in a separate bowl.
Step 3: Pour mix over crackers, using a spoon to get all the seasoning. Thats the good stuff.
Step 4: Secure the lid and flip the container. Wait 5 minutes and flip it again. Continue to flip at this rate for the next 30 minutes.
And BAM, they’re ready to enjoy! These taste best after they’ve had a chance to marinate and mingle for a while, so I recommend making them ahead by at least a couple hours (or the day before).
If you’ve made other cracker recipes, you’re probably skeptical about skipping the oven. If you like them a little toasty, throw them in at 250 degrees for 10 minutes or so and serve warm. Optional, but fancy.
These are a great add to your charCUTErie boards!
Hope you’re surviving the heat!
Always and Whatever
