Homemade Creamy Fruit Popsicles

yum

I am a big fan of homemade popsicles. I just love a cold treat. There's nothing better than a popsicle when it’s hot AF outside! This is one of my favorite homemade popsicle recipes, and I hope it will be one of yours too.

Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cold heavy whipping cream

  • 2 cups whole milk Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

  • 1/3 cup honey (more/less to taste)

  • 3 cups fruit

These are a few of my favorite mixtures:

  • Strawberry and banana

  • Peach and strawberry

  • Mango and kiwi

  • Chopped Oreos and chocolate chips

It’s important to use Greek yogurt because it’s thick. Regular yogurt has too much water, and it will make your popsicles icy rather than creamy.

Step 1:

Whisk heavy whipping cream. Continue to whisk until the cream is no longer liquid, but don’t overdo it or there will be too much air in the cream.

Step 2:

Fold in the yogurt and honey.

Step 3:

Add fruit. Feel free to split your yogurt base into two or three batches and make several versions! My mold holds 10 popsicles, so I like to do a couple different variations.

Step 4:

Pour the mixture into the molds, making sure there are no air pockets. Use a chopstick or extra popsicle stick to fill any air pockets. Tapping the mold on the countertop will pop air bubbles as well!

Step 5:

Add popsicle sticks and freeze for about four hours before enjoying.

Tips:

  • Make sure the popsicle molds are completely dry or you’ll get ice crystals on your pops.

  • When popping your pops out of the mold, let them sit for 5 minutes so they come out smoothly.

I hope you enjoy these as much as we do. Stay cool, sunshine!

Always and Whatever
