Caramel Apple Bark
Caramel apples are so tasty and nostalgic, but they are the hardest things in the world to eat. Is there anyone out there who knows how to eat one without making a huge mess and losing a few teeth? This caramel apple bark is easy and delicious, and you won’t have to struggle to enjoy a few bites!
This recipe is best when eaten the same day it’s prepared.
Shall we?
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 green apple
35 unwrapped caramels or 13.5 oz caramel dip
1 bag of pretzels
First, grab some parchment paper and prepare your workspace.
Step 1. Melt 1¾ cup of chocolate chips in the microwave. Stir every 15 seconds until melted and smooth.
Step 2. Pour melted chocolate onto parchment paper. Use a spatula to spread it into the shape of large rectangle.
Step 3. Layer the pretzels on top of the chocolate until it’s covered.
Step 4. Dice green apple and press with a paper towel to get rid of as much moisture as possible. This prevents the caramel from becoming runny.
Step 5. Unwrap caramels and microwave them in 15 second intervals, stirring until completely melted.
Step 6. Add apples into the caramel and spread the caramel/apple mixture over the layer of pretzels.
Step 7. Chill in fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 8. Melt the remaining chocolate and drizzle over the top. Place back into the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
Step 9. Remove from fridge and cut into bite size pieces.
Leave bark in the fridge until ready to serve! This recipe is best served the same day (pretzels and apples will soften over time).
Hope you enjoy! I’m absolutely obsessed, lol.
Happy haunting!
